The Seed of the Heart

Many plant teachers say their medicine works in a very simple way.

They say the plant grows a tree inside your heart.

Two years ago I first met the spirit of this Amazonian plant.

It was an instant recognition.

The kind that happens before words or understanding.

A quiet knowing that we were meant to meet.

At the time I did not yet understand that this meeting would become a path of initiation.

I only felt a gentle presence, soft but persistent, touching the heart in a way that asked for honesty.

Not perfection.

Not achievement.

But truth.

Since then much has been dismantled.

Layers of stories, identities and ways of being that once felt necessary slowly loosening their grip.

Not through force, but through remembering.

Remembering something deeper that had always been there beneath survival patterns and noise.

Working with this plant slowly began to open the heart.

But it also did something else, eventally I started noticing a change..

It began to thin the veil through which I had been perceiving the world.

Dreams became stronger.

Nature started to feel less like scenery and more like presence. I am the nature.

Through my own body I began to sense a deeper connection to the living field that moves through everything.

The more the mind softened its constant noise, the more I could hear.

Not only the voice of the forest or the sea, but the subtle emotional currents moving through people and places.

Even time began to feel different.

Slower, yet deeper.

It was as if I had stepped out of the surface of time and into its interior.

Moments expanded.

Life no longer felt like something rushing forward, but something quietly unfolding.

Guidance became clearer.

Not something coming from the mind, but something rising from the deep center of the body.

From the womb space, where intuition feels less like thought and more like gravity.

A calm, steady knowing that does not argue or explain.

It simply points the way.

Sometimes that center is still and grounded.

Sometimes it rises suddenly as a powerful inner fire.

In those moments it feels as if something ancient inside me is waking up.

Dragon within waking from a long sleep.

Not a force of domination.

But the original intelligence of life moving through the body when the heart becomes open enough to hold it.

Looking back now, I see that this journey was never only about healing.

It was initiation.

A slow remembering of who I am beneath everything I have learned to be.

And perhaps this is why many plant teachers describe their medicine so simply.

They say the plant grows a tree inside your heart.

And once that tree begins to grow, its roots slowly reach into every part of your life, until one day you realize something quietly extraordinary:

the forest you were searching for has been growing inside you all along.
