The whole spectrum of life

For the last week, I have been working on the theme of acceptance. I have been ashamed, hiding and rejecting different parts of myself the entire time I have been processing my own identity, i.e. since I was approximately 12 years old. I've been afraid to be myself, because my experience of entering the world and becoming real was very harsh at the beginning. I had strong experiences of wrongness, inappropriateness, being too much or too little of something.

I didn't fit in at school, my own family didn't understand me, I didn't know how to connect with other people, I was bullied, I just couldn't find my place in the world. From this, as a small person, I concluded that maybe I would fit in a bit differently. If I try hard enough, I could be like everyone else. An endless cover run began. The less I was myself, the more I had experiences that were not in line with my truth. I managed to do this for several decades, using the most imaginative means to escape my true self and the constantly strengthening messages from my innermost being.

Fortunately, a wall came up in the end. Of course, at that point I had already driven myself into a somewhat catatonic state, with dissociation as my most common way of relating to anything, because it was the most effective way not to feel.

Now it's been almost 9 years since I made this journey back to myself. And finally in the last week some parts have come back. I have collected these parts all over the world, dimensions, stories, memories and all the way to the joints of my body. But the more I become myself, I notice that I'm also a little weirder every moment, and right now I'm not surprised at all that the world or I wasn't ready for this before. Everything has its own time, Divine timing.

But now, it's time to be exactly who I am. According to some terminology, I am strongly on the neuro spectrum, which perhaps makes it easier for people to understand my rather special way of relating to the world. Autist, adhd and what all there are. And how good it feels to just honestly be what I am, through this surprising acceptance, I notice that life opens up to me in a completely new way. There is no longer a violent, shame-filled operating model, where I never have time to do things in the same time as others, I am not able to do many things that are very normal to others, My way of looking and explaining, communicating and creating a connection is not something that should be hidden and feared. It's really okay to be what I am.

Of course, this may seem like a very obvious thing, but it took me a few decades to embody this thing, the fact that I really feel that I can be me.

It is with great gratitude that I accept this gift. And I want to thank all of you brave role models in my life who have beautifully mirrored your unique nature, so that I myself have finally seen the wisdom in my own strangeness.
