These last hours before the new moon is born in the sky, I release the lone wolf back into the forest.
There she can run freely, and I can trust that my tribe is already on their way to me, just as I am on my way to them. And we recognize each other by the light that sparks between us when we meet, the kind of light where even darkness wants to sit down and have a cup of tea with us. Finally, all of us are welcomed to tend the same sacred fire, the very fire we once walked through to purify the old agreements of lack and scarcity.
And by this sacred fire we dance and sing, our bodies trembling with love, tears falling simply because we finally know there is no need to run anymore. The open arms of beloved fellow humans. The celebration of life itself.
I am simultaneously releasing and receiving. The order is restored. And so, I am free to love, just as my wolf is free to roam.
