The green dragon
Oh, how I have been missing my dragons, but here they are once again, bringing messages for changing seasons.
There is a point in the turning of the year
when something ancient begins to move again. The green lion devouring the sun, sometimes seen as a green dragon. The needed dissolution and purification of matter to enable rebirth. Like spring after the long winter.
The primordial nature, mercury consuming the sun (ego/fixed perfection) to facilitate inner transformation.
A pulse beneath the surface, something stirring in the roots, quietly emerging insistence that life will rise.
Anger belongs to this moment. Fire needs to flow, expression is awakening.
It comes like sap lifting in the tree,
like ice loosening its grip on the river.
It carries memory.
Of what has been held too long and where the current has been bent away from its natural path.
In the language of TCM,
this is the Wood awakening,
the Liver setting Qi into motion.
A force that gives direction to life,
that draws a line through the formless
and says, here, this way.
When this movement meets old containment,
it gathers heat.
The voice sharpens. Bloos rushes. Senses sharpen.
The field grows restless.
This is the moment where many turn away,
mistaking the surge for something to correct.
Yet within it lives a precision.
A knowing that has not yet found its language. Your voice, your truth is coming alive.
If given space and felt without rushing to shape or silence, the current begins to clear its own path.
The heat refines. Pointy edges soften into direction. The pulse becomes rhythm for thriving.
Anger reveals what has been crossed,
words that have been left unsaid, where your boundaries lie.
And slowly, the dragon finds its flow.
No longer coiled in pressure,
it moves like wind through branches,
like water finding its course through stone.
Spring does not argue its arrival.
It unfolds.
So does this movement within you.
From heat into clarity, the pressure moves into direction and the quiet stirring into embodied knowing.
The green dragon carries the intelligence of life as it remembers its way forward.
To walk with it, is to trust the unfolding,
to let the current shape its path through you.
And in that movement,
balance returns as something lived,
not held.
A quiet alignment,
rooted and moving at once.
